The recognition was promoted by the corporation's Board of Directors, headed by Representative Yully Esperanza Porras Barrero, and was bestowed upon the institution and its two directors: Dr. Juan Carlos Arbeláez Echeverry, president and specialist in radiotherapy, and attorney Juan Camilo Arbeláez Mariño, vice president.

Clinaltec was founded in 2014. In eleven years it went from being a local project to centralizing oncological services in the center of the country that were previously only available in major capitals.
