Pre-Exam Instructions for MRI

To ensure your safety and the quality of the study, it is essential to report if the patient has any of the following conditions at the time of the appointment:

  • Hearing implants: Cochlear devices (implant card must be presented).

  • Cardiac devices Pacemakers, defibrillators, or artificial heart valves.

  • Neurosurgery Clips for brain aneurysm.

  • Other devices Infusion or analgesia pumps, and stents Vascular endoprostheses.

  • Orthodontics You must not wear braces.

  • Osteosynthesis material if you have plates or screws implanted less than 3 months, the study cannot be scheduled.

  • Kidney function History of kidney disease or dialysis treatment.

  • Laboratory: You must present the result of creatinine in blood (with a validity of no more than 30 days) if it has been requested.

  • Allergies: History of previous allergic reaction to contrast media

  • Current condition: Do not present fever on the day of the exam.

  • Availability The patient must have at least 3 hours of availability time for your appointment.

Failure to comply with any of these requirements or omission of information regarding metallic implants could prevent the examination from being performed for safety reasons.
